About Us

The Key Differentiator Of Sustainably Successful Organisations Is The Calibre Of Their Management And Leadership

Our Solutions Are Not For The Faint-Hearted Or Merely Curious

We Have 60+  Years Of Combined Experience And An Insatiable Curiosity About What Makes Some Managers Masters Of Their Craft

What Sets Us Apart From Ordinary Management Development Solutions?

Simply put, we know more!

Specifically put (also our preferred approach), we have analysed millions of data points, dissected and stress-tested numerous hypotheses and detailed research, observed hundreds of hours’ of the interactions of excellent managers and used our extensive first-hand personal experience of international managerial and executive roles.

This has led us to understanding the 8 Key Characteristics of Managerial Masters:

Management Mastery Icon

Targeted

They understood the need to specifically target managerial competencies for development, instead of assuming  that a general development approach would be enough
Management Mastery Icon

Focused

They realised early in their career how important personal development would be to make progress – they did it because they knew it mattered, not because they’d been told to
Management Mastery Icon

Systematic

They worked out what they needed to do to first become good and then great managers, through refining and combining learnings, practices, capabilities and competencies
Management Mastery Icon

Planned

They created and found ways to maintain an effective development plan, that enabled them to go further than the common (and arguably limited) model of Reflect, Plan, Act
Management Mastery Icon

Opportunistic

They capitalised on development opportunities that arose, without depending on them to make meaningful progress
Management Mastery Icon

Creative

They found ways to use their every-day meaningful work to identify, isolate and exploit opportunities to develop
Management Mastery Icon

Collaborative

They actively identified and approached people who could help them and tools that could effectively assist them on their learning pathway
Management Mastery Icon

Resilient

They persevered even in the face of the struggles and challenges everyone faces in the pursuit of their personal development

Understanding these 8 Key Characteristics subsequently led us to develop our unique framework that underpins everything we do:

    I specialise in developing and growing individuals and organizations, to perform at their best. Time is critical and through our solutions, I focus on making things easy and as practical as possible for current and aspiring managers and leaders to grow. Using a research-based profile of skills covering four dimensions – Management, Business Acumen, Personal Effectiveness, and Leadership I enable them to be GREAT – to:

    • Take accountability and achieve excellent results;
    • Hold others accountable and drive up their performance;
    • Achieve more with less;
    • Engage, retain and develop top talent;
    • Build SuperTeams;
    • Make effective and commercially-viable decisions promptly;
    • Achieve personal effectiveness, presence and impact;
    • … and more!

    With a background in psychology and organisational psychology I’ve spent the last 20 years working in various industries and sectors focusing on management & leadership development, talent management and organisational development. I’ve worked in companies as a manager, a leader and a consultant. Through all my experiences, I’ve observed some fundamentals:

    • Pace wrongly drives “what” not “how”;
    • Things are often not simple but they can be easy;
    • Development opportunities are wasted or put off in favour of the task list;
    • It is possible to be effective and have fun!
